Given that Salesforce is a repository of a large volume of business-critical information for organizations, it is essential to implement a reliable backup and recovery plan for this data.

Although Salesforce offers a level of backup and recovery for its customers’ data, it is not primarily focused on these activities; Salesforce itself does not recommend the use of its own Data Recovery service, indicating that it is a “last resort” in the event of data loss.
